This particular bark vessel is made from black clay; oxides emphasise the scorched double rim reflecting memories of the scorched Australian bush. Vigorously thrown and assembled with layers of slip and glaze skimming over the surface trail of throwing and tool marks to give the piece life and vitality. High fired oxidised stoneware.
